How to set up

  1. 1Open LineDiff at linediff.app
  2. 2Click the Notion icon in the toolbar of any input panel (Original or Modified)
  3. 3Authorize LineDiff to access your Notion workspace in the popup (one-time setup)
  4. 4Enter the Notion page URL or page ID and click Import
  5. 5The page content loads into the panel β€” repeat for the other side and compare

The LineDiff Google Docs Add-on adds comparison buttons right inside Google Docs. Mark one document as original, open another and mark it as modified, then compare both in LineDiff with a single click. No copy-pasting, no switching tabs, no sharing required.

The add-on only requests read access to your documents. LineDiff never modifies, deletes, or stores your Google Docs content on any server.

How to set up

  1. 1Open a Google Doc, then go to Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons
  2. 2Search for "LineDiff" in the Google Workspace Marketplace and install it
  3. 3Grant the add-on permission to read your document content
  4. 4Open your first document, then go to Extensions > LineDiff > "Set as Original Text"
  5. 5Open the second document, then go to Extensions > LineDiff > "Set as Modified Text"
  6. 6Click Extensions > LineDiff > "Compare in LineDiff" β€” LineDiff opens with both texts loaded

The LineDiff Word Add-in opens a sidebar panel inside Microsoft Word. Mark one document as original and another as modified, then open LineDiff in your browser with both texts pre-loaded. Works with Word 2016 and later, including Word for the web.

The add-in only has ReadDocument permission β€” it can read text from the active document but cannot modify, delete, or access any other files on your computer.

Requires Microsoft Word 2016 or later (desktop or web). For sideloading custom add-ins, your organization may need to enable developer/custom add-in uploads.

How to set up

  1. 1Download the manifest.xml file from the button below
  2. 2Open Microsoft Word, go to Insert tab > My Add-ins (or Add-ins) > Upload My Add-in
  3. 3Browse to the downloaded manifest.xml file and click Upload
  4. 4The LineDiff panel opens in the sidebar. Open your first document and click "Set as Original"
  5. 5Open the second document and click "Set as Modified"
  6. 6Click "Compare in LineDiff" β€” your browser opens with both texts ready to compare
